Egads, an update,

Obviously, I have not been around a bit, or writing drabbles. I apologize a bit for that, folks.

On the personal front, I'm in the transition of moving myself and my entire life back home for the summer, or possibly longer. My thesis situation is, well, just as frustrating as ever. The job situation is not going well either. So, in the meantime, I am just trying not to stress myself out. I hate moving, absolutely hate it. I'm slowly getting things packed up and moved 200 miles in the back of a station wagon. *rolls eyes*

On the up side...I'm the proud owner of two (soon to be Two) new pets. I have a grey tabby female cat that my da rescued from his workplace. I have named her 'Feral,' or she has named herself Feral. And of course, the name suits the cat. Her name sounds more like 'Farrel' when my da pronounces it. She is really small, but weaned...and half-wild. She is warming up, not hissing and spitting at me every time I reach for her to pick her up.

And, I have been preparing to bring home a new puppy I picked out at the local animal shelter. She is a female, Jack Russell/Feist mix puppy, and is mostly white except a brown spot around her left eye and a black spot on her left flank. She is super cute, and her name is Sulley--meaning 'keen eye.' I will be picking her up in about a week since she is in the process of being weaned. I will have to then get her spayed (since she is so young I have to wait a bit, but by WV law and because I signed a contract), and her rabies shot.

I am really excited, first with a new kitten, which will be more for the family, and the puppy, which will be mine alone (a companion for me on summer road trips, camping, etc.)

Okay...on the writing front.

I'm working on two ideas, both I had mentioned before...a SS/HG, and a Charlie/HG fic. I'm still outlining a bit, thus I cannot really say when I will post anything. As for other things, drabbles...as soon as I can get settled, the move over, I will get right back to plugging away at finishing the drabble table.

I have a lot of suggestions yet to address for my drabble table, and thanks to those who have come up with some fantastic ideas/pairings.

Please forgive the lack of activity, hopefully I will be back writing non-stop and maniacally again soon!

Kitty!! *squeal!!* I almost adopted a kitten yesterday, but a certain significant other said nay. *pout* I hope your move goes well and the pets settle in just fine! (And don't rush the stories- we're patient)

I can finally have or adopt pets now that I am spending the summer at my parent's house. Granted, I would love to have a new flat, but time and money are an issue. All the same, I love my pets, and my parents have a few, and when I do get a new flat, my pets, cat and dog will come with me. ^_^ That makes me stupidly happy.

Move is going well, now I just need to set up a place to write after I get all my boxes and other things put away.

Much love... *hugs*

Packing's a pain..I did it last month so I know what you're talking about. I let it linger on for days until I absolutely had to get it done. Thats the wrong way tho..(or so I'm told *grins*)

Congratulations on the pets!!! The puppy sounds cute...Cats..not too fond of them.

Take your time as regards the fic....Once you start writing you go at a great speed, so as a reader I'm totally content to wait for the next masterpiece :)

Gods, I hate moving. Who doesn't, eh? I still have some more things to pack, move, unpack, and then stare at all summer, wondering where I am going to end up next. *sighs*

I am more of a dog person. I like cats, my mother loves them. I get on with dogs, I need the companionship and love, I guess. ^_^

Thanks for the understanding, luv, I really appreciate it.

Glad to see you updating. :) I've missed you. Congrats on the new pets!!!
Not much to report. I'm still looking for work and thinking of taking a job driving a schwan's truck, how hilarious is that? It's still commission, but a much better job than what I'm doing. We'll see.

That was me, btw. Don't know why it came up anon.

Aw...thanks!

Driving Schwans? Hey, if it pays, that's what I say. Believe, never knock the most unlikely or dirty jobs, I have a had a few...and they were so much fun! ^_^ Commission? Like...uh, going door to door? I know nothing about it, obviously, but I do see the trucks around.

Good luck, E!

Lol....just one of the many crazy ideas I've had lately. I'm willing to try just about anything for a little while, I think.
Apparently, some of it is door to door, and some of it is route. It cracks me up, but I think it might be better than what I'm doing.

Hope things are well!

Gods, E. I have just clawed my way out of black hole, I think.

About the FBI route. My dad just made me fill out this horrendous app for an arts position at Clarksburg. I had no idea what I was doing. I'm still trying to figure it out in my head.

Thanks for the Facebook greeting...I'm not ignoring everyone, or you... I really have not been with it, at all. *sobs and runs away again*.

Oh T. I was afraid of a black hole. I didn't feel ignored at all. Just thinking of you....and a bit worried. I knew you'd respond when you felt up to it.
I just signed on to facebook to let you know that you were missed. :)
I hope you get good news soon.
I have started a new job in insurance, and so far so good. It's servicing unions and union members. I'm ok with it. I've realized that if I never do more than live in WV, and I only ever work in insurance, it might be ok. I don't have to be a superstar or own a Bentley. Life is what we make it.
I'm going to play my hand, and make the best of my pair of twos. :)
*HUGS!*

Black holes are abundant in Webster Co.
Despite being more of colony and not a state, WV is actually a great place. I feel very much like you do, in some ways. If I only ever just get adjunct positions or teach Art 101 for the rest of my life, I would probably be ok with that. ^_^
What sort of unions are you servicing, mining unions? Construction? Now, I'm curious. The mine workers union has a special place in my heart, believe it or not. ^_^ Being a coal miner's daughter, I guess.
Anyway, I'll be around...doing something in the meantime. Besides stressing over thesis, I've been sitting on my parent's back porch writing non-HP fiction, which is not so good for all my LJ friends, I guess, but is good for me. I could tell you about it sometime.

Many *hugs*, E.

Hey T!
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but lately, I think that if I were working more hours I wouldn't be sleeping. lol
I am working for AIL, which is American Income Life. We are exclusive to members of labor unions and organizations. It's a pretty cool company and very liberal. You should google us, their website has a lot on it. If you get fed up with higher education, we're hiring. :)
Today was an ecstatic day for me because I made enough to pay my car and loan payment. I was almost jumping up and down. The two weeks of training have almost done me in and I feel so sleep-deprived, but I think it's really going to be worth it. Thank God, because I was dangling from the end of my rope.

I'm glad that you're doing better and getting to have some fun. I hope you are enjoying summer, because you've certainly earned a break! I would love to hear all about the fiction you're writing, and as of Saturday evening I get to come up for air and will only be working regular-ish shifts without doubles for classroom training. So, feel free to hit me up.

Yesterday was mom's birthday and we didn't get to celebrate, so I'm taking her to artisan fest at Fenton in Williamstown (near Parkersburg) it looks like it's pretty cool, and we love craft/art fairs (I'm an artisan junkie) hopefully a good time will be had.

My email is the same as my LJ user name at gmail.com

Many, many hugs sent back your way!!!

Making money is always great! *twirls you* I'm so glad things are working out!

I am going MUCH better. I submitted my thesis to the Uni today, all I have to do is shell out the money to have it processed. I AM DONE!!!! Now, it is serious job hunting, taking the GRE, and possibly going for my PhD. *sigh* But I'm getting somewhere, albeit slowly.

Did you get up to Ripley for the Arts and Crafts Fair? My family used to go every summer when I was a kid, but it has been a long time since... My dad's birthday was yesterday, but I wasn't home to help him celebrate. My brother-in-law's birthday is this weekend...so many birthdays.

Well, about the original fiction, once I an get a logical summary, I'll definitely let you in on it. *chuckle* I've been working on the story for over 5 years, and now that I have some time, I can actually do some revising on my notes and start actually writing. I keep going back and forth about the POV. Oh well.

*hugs to you!*

I'll have to post some pics...sorry for the late response!
I have dogs and cats running around all over my parent's house. I trip over one at least once a day if not more.
^_^
